Systems that don’t talk
Your CRM, booking tool, billing platform and GHL all hold different versions of the same customer.
Custom GHL Development & API Integrations
When native workflows hit their limits, we write the code that connects GoHighLevel to the rest of your business.
Our GoHighLevel developer team builds the integrations, webhooks, custom apps and automations that standard workflows can’t handle on their own. Whether you need a GHL developer for a two-way CRM sync, a GoHighLevel API integration with your booking or billing system, or custom code for a funnel, we scope it, build it, document it and hand it over so you own everything.
Sound familiar?
GoHighLevel workflows cover a lot, but most growing businesses eventually hit a wall that needs a real developer.
Your CRM, booking tool, billing platform and GHL all hold different versions of the same customer.
Dozens of Zapier or Make steps fail silently, and nobody notices until a lead goes cold.
You need numbers across sub-accounts or tools that the built-in dashboards simply can’t combine.
The page builder gets you 90% there, but the last 10% of design and behavior needs custom code.
What we build
Every build is scoped, documented and handed over. Pick one, or combine several into a larger project.
GoHighLevel API integration with the tools you already run, so data stays consistent in both directions.
GoHighLevel webhook endpoints that receive, validate and route events to the right place in real time.
GHL custom app development, from private internal tools to marketplace apps that install across sub-accounts.
Pull data out of GHL into a warehouse, spreadsheet or BI tool for agency-wide and cross-tool reporting.
Connect payments to your CRM logic so orders, subscriptions and failed charges trigger the right follow-up.
n8n, Make and Zapier scenarios built properly, plus custom code steps and front-end code where needed.
How it works
We walk through your current GoHighLevel account, the tools involved and what the data needs to do. No sales script, just questions.
You get a written spec covering data mapping, triggers, edge cases and hosting, with a fixed price per deliverable.
We build in a test sub-account or sandbox first, share progress regularly and test failure cases, not just the happy path.
We deploy to your accounts, monitor the first live runs and hand over code, documentation and a recorded walkthrough.
Hiring a GoHighLevel developer is different from hiring a general web developer. HighLevel has its own data model (agencies, locations, contacts, opportunities, custom fields and custom values), its own authentication rules and its own quirks. Our team works inside that ecosystem every day, so we spend your budget on building, not learning the platform. If you are still deciding whether GHL is the right platform, start with our guide to what GoHighLevel is.
New integrations are built on HighLevel API v2. For apps that install across multiple accounts, we implement the OAuth 2.0 flow with secure token storage and automatic refresh. For a single agency or sub-account, a private integration token is often simpler and is scoped to only the permissions the integration needs. API endpoints, scopes and limits do change, so we check the current HighLevel developer documentation at the start of every project rather than relying on assumptions.
Reliable integrations are mostly about what happens when things go wrong. Every Go High Level integration we ship includes:
Not every problem needs custom code. As a GHL automation expert team we will often recommend native GoHighLevel workflows or a GoHighLevel Zapier, Make or n8n integration first, because they are faster to build and easier for your team to maintain. Here is how we decide:
| Factor | No-code (Workflows, Zapier, Make, n8n) | Custom code (API v2, webhooks, apps) |
|---|---|---|
| Speed to launch | Fastest, often days | Longer, depends on scope |
| Upfront cost | Lower | Higher |
| Ongoing cost | Per-task or per-operation fees can grow with volume | Hosting costs, usually predictable |
| Complex logic and data mapping | Gets messy beyond a few branches | Handles any logic cleanly |
| Error handling | Basic, varies by tool | Full control over retries and alerts |
| Who can edit it | Your non-technical team | A developer |
| Best for | Simple triggers, low volume, quick wins | Two-way syncs, high volume, apps, multi-account tools |
Many projects end up hybrid: native workflows handle follow-up, while a small custom service handles the heavy data sync behind the scenes.
Front-end work is a big part of what clients ask a GHL developer for. We write custom CSS and JavaScript for GHL funnels, websites and membership areas: custom layouts, calculators, multi-step form logic, dynamic content, tracking scripts and branded portal styling. Code is kept organized and commented so future edits don’t break your pages.
We build in your accounts, not ours. Code lives in your Git repository, hosting runs on your cloud provider, and API credentials are generated in your GoHighLevel account with the minimum scopes required. Secrets are stored as environment variables, never hard-coded. At handover you receive documentation, a recorded walkthrough and full admin access, and we are happy to sign an NDA before reviewing your data.
Our GoHighLevel developer work supports agencies building tools for their clients, SaaS resellers who need features across many sub-accounts (see our GoHighLevel SaaS mode guide), and local businesses in industries like dental practices and real estate that need GHL to connect with industry software. If you need a full account build rather than an integration, our GoHighLevel setup service is the better fit, and agencies needing ongoing fulfillment can look at white-label GoHighLevel support.

FAQ
A GoHighLevel developer builds the parts of your system that native GHL features cannot handle alone: API integrations, webhooks, custom apps and custom code. Typical work includes syncing contacts and opportunities with another CRM, pushing data from GHL into a reporting dashboard, building a private marketplace app, writing custom code steps inside workflows, and adding custom CSS or JavaScript to funnels and membership areas.
Yes. HighLevel offers a public REST API, and the current version (API v2) uses OAuth 2.0 for marketplace apps and private integration tokens for single-account use. It covers core objects such as contacts, opportunities, calendars, conversations and custom values. Exact endpoints, scopes and rate limits change over time, so we always confirm against the current HighLevel developer documentation before scoping a build.
It depends on the scope, so we quote each project at a fixed price after a free call. A single webhook or Zapier scenario is a small job, while a two-way sync with error handling or a multi-tenant marketplace app is a larger build. We break the quote into clear deliverables so you know exactly what you are paying for before any work starts.
Use no-code tools when the logic is simple and volume is low, and custom code when you need reliability, scale or logic those tools cannot express cleanly. Zapier, Make and n8n are fast to build and easy for your team to edit. Custom code costs more up front but handles retries, rate limits, complex data mapping and high volumes better, and avoids per-task fees.
Yes. We build private and public-facing marketplace apps that authenticate with OAuth 2.0 and install into agency or sub-accounts. That includes the OAuth flow, token storage and refresh, webhook handling and any custom pages your app needs. Publishing to the public marketplace is subject to HighLevel review, so we plan for their requirements but cannot control approval.
You do. Code lives in your Git repository, hosting runs on your cloud account, and API credentials are created in your GoHighLevel account. We hand over documentation, environment variables and a walkthrough at the end of every project, and we are happy to sign an NDA before we see your data.
